Legionella Risk Management Plans – warm water systems

Legionella bacteria can be present in commercial warm water systems and spread through aerosols generated by a tap, shower, and even an ice machine. The potential for Legionnaires disease is escalated in health care and aged care facilities which contain vulnerable populations at greatest risk.

Our experienced staff will undertake a comprehensive assessment of your warm water systems to identify the risks, and make recommendations on how to best manage those risks. We understand the complexities of extensive pipework, temperature control, TMVs, and can advise you on the disinfection options available.

We also undertake water sampling for water quality testing, which is analysed by a NATA accredited laboratory. Water testing can include, but is not limited to:

  • Legionella
  • Heterotrophic Colony Count (HCC/HCP)
  • E.coli
  • Coliforms
  • Other pathogens
  • Endotoxins
  • General water chemistry

At RMP Systems we understand the serious health risks Legionella can pose, and specialise in managing Legionella risk. We apply a holistic approach and are available to undertake Risk Management Plans, Legionella training specific to your industry, and Auditing of your systems.
